Authentic German music plays its way into your ears, sausage and streudel tease your appetite, and the fun, excitement, and friendliness capture your heart.  This four day event is more than just a festival, it's an experience!

Every third full weekend in September, the small community of Odessa attracts thousands of visitors and adventurers to its famous Deustchesfest.  Sporting an authentic local German Band - The Oom Pas & Mas, German Food, Crafts, and many exciting events, Odessa has made a name for itself by taking pride in its German Heritage.

Thursday, September 19, 2002 - (Pre-fest) Trike and Bed Races (at 6:00) and the famed Block Long Biergarten opens its doors with music.  100th year Birthday celebration with cake, balloons, and music by the our own German band the Oom Pa's and Ma's.

Friday, September 20, 2002 - German Bake Sale, Food booths open at noon along with Biergarten and the music.  Youth Garden, Hole-In-One, Arts & Crafts, Flea Market, and OHS Football game.

Saturday, September 21, 2002 - Fun Run, Parade, 3-on-3 Basketball, Hole-In-One Tournament, Flea Market, Arts & Crafts, Outdoor Stage, Biergarten, Youth Garden, Food Court, Model Airplane Show.

Sunday, September 22, 2002 - Biergarten opens at noon, Special Concert (various artists), German Food Court, Mud Bogs, Horseshoes at the Museum.
